The interior of Sardinia and its natural beauty

In addition to a pristine natural environment, all the thrills of an unforgettable vacation.

TRENINO VERDE (GREEN TRAIN)
The Trenino Verde is one of the best ways to admire the beauty that northern Sardinia has to offer.
The trains that depart from Palau for the city of Tempio Pausania are none other than an adaptation to the purposes of tourism of the original locomotives that started operating in Gallura in 1888.
The value of a trip on the railroad is due to the unforgettable impression that it leaves on the mind of the traveller who rides it through the wild and evocative landscapes.

PALAU
Departing from Palau one can admire its coast and the Maddalena Archipelago with its inlets and remarkable fortresses to continue towards spectacular scenery of enormous rocks eroded by the wind and large cork and holm oak forests that represent a one of a kind natural environment.  After passing the city limits of Palau and Arzachena you arrive at the station of Sant’Antonio di Gallura, where the passing you can catch your own reflection on the Liscia lake, then you come to the territories of Calangianus and Luras where the railroad, with its tunnels, bridges and stations seems to fit in perfect harmony with the forests and mountains around Mt. Limbara.

TEMPIO PAUSANIA
Once arrived at Tempio Pausania, ancient historical and cultural capital of Gallura, the train come sto a stop in the beautiful station, famous for housing the works of the painter Giuseppe Biasi and, nearby, the museum of industrial railroad archaeology.
