La Maddalena, it is the main island where stands the homonymous town, and it is also the main docking of the numerous tours that during the summer months start from the main land. A bridge links it to beautiful island of Caprera, the second largest island, where there is the museum of Garibaldi, but unmatched for the beauties of the beaches and for its unique biodiversity.
In Caprera, into the bay of Porto Palma, it is located the Sailing Centre, a prestigious sailing school known worldwide. In the northeast area, the cliff drops overhanging the sea and the coast is characterized by inlets and bays of outstanding beauty, such as the famous Cala Coticcio. In the northwest, there are, on the other hand, the beautiful islands of of Spargi, surrounded by large granite rocks sculpted by the wind and by lush vegetation, the island of Budelli also known as Pink Beach, Razzoli and Santa Maria where there is a small convent inhabitated during the Middle Ages by Benedictine monks.
